Matcha Muffins

Amazing matcha muffins that are likely to have quite a wow factor. The come out beautifully green and wil definitely catch an eye.

Matcha Muffins

Ingredients

  • 150 grams all-purpose flour (or 1 cup)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 3 teaspons matcha powder
  • 0.5 cup melted butter
  • 0.5 cup maple syrup
  • 1 large egg
  • white chocolate chunks, baking grade (few pieces per muffin)

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 190 degrees
  • Whisk together flour, baking powder, salt and matcha
  • In a separate bowl whisk together the maple syrup, butter and egg
  • Pour the dry ingrediests into the wet ones and mix by hand until combined. Don’t overdo it, just long enough to combine all together
  • Pour the batter in six muffin cups, bake for 20-25 minutes.
  • Optional: if you plan to use white chocolate, place about a tablespoon of the batter into the liners, then add desinred amount of chocolate and pour the rest. This way it will remain inside rather than sticking to the liner
